Two-on-Two Session - Room: Bayside C, 4th Floor
Full paper authors meet in groups of 4; each group consists of authors of 2 full papers and 2 editors, who would have reviewed the two papers. Editors will provide feedback to authors of full papers in this session.
Note: Full paper authors should come prepared with a one-page summary to be distributed to the members of their two-on-two session (no formal presentations). Please use participant website to see bio-sketch and photo of the members of your group.
Paper Idea Session - Rooms: Bayside A & B, 4th Floor
Paper idea authors meet in groups of 6; each group consists of authors of 4 paper ideas and 2 editors. Editors will provide brief comments to the authors of paper ideas.
Note: Paper idea authors should come prepared with a one-page summary to be distributed to members of their small group (no formal presentations). Please use participant website to see bio-sketch and photo of the members of your group.
12:45pm – 1:45pm Lunch - Room: Waterbury Ballroom, 2nd Floor
Buffet lunch will be provided.
1:45pm – 2:45pm Small Group Session - Room: 4th Floor (refer to your program)
Guest editors and JIBS Area Editors meet in small groups with author participants (both idea and full paper), each of whom would be allocated to a specific group. Each small group will consist of approximately 3 editors and 5 authors in a round table setting.
Note: This session is not for discussion of specific papers or paper ideas, the purpose of this session is to encourage participants to have a general discussion about the review process, publication strategies and other tips that can help participants better understand and navigate the publication process. Author participants may want to come prepared with questions to make the most of out of this session. Questions include but are not limited to - What do I do if my paper is rejected? or What do I do if I get an R&R? or How do I deal with reviewers who disagree? or What are the most common problems in the paper that you review after a revise and resubmit that lead to rejection?
